This is a quick video on how to run a cable test using the tdr utility on a Cisco switch. I'm using a Catalyst 3850, but the command is supported on most of the equipment.

The test is ran by entering the following command in privileged exec mode:
'test cable-diagnostics tdr interface gi1/0/1'

Then run 'show cable-diagnostics tdr interface gi1/0/1' to view the results.
